How much glue did they really need to put in her hair?? It was disgusting trying to cut and style it! Ew! And elastics, they were EVERYWHERE!
Ever since Monster High dolls came out, I knew the company would hit the jackpot. Monsters, vamps, zombies, they're at the height of popularity and the market was bogged down with "fashion" dolls that were all starting to blend together.
Now, I wonder if Monster High doesn't have more of an adult following than children. Either way, I knew if I ever found any of these dolls on discount that I'd have to pick them up to try my hand at a repaint for the first time. I had very, very little confidence that I could do well, but so far I'm happy with my progress.
Lagoona here is about 30% of the way complete in this photo (now 50%). She'll have a new outfit and much more painting and hair accessories

did you use regular acrylic paints on her body or did you use the thinner/liquid acrylic paints? I'm about ready to do a repaint of my own so I've been asking around for ideas and tips about it.
