My Retirement Plan

I always thought that BJDs (ball jointed dolls) were a waste of money. That is, until I saw one in person. The craftsmanship in the sculpts and the outfits is mind blowing and I decided that I would wait until I found one I really loved and buy it. Just one. Juuuust one. Yupp, as you can see, that worked out well.

I bought the one on the far left first. Though I've named him Elijah, I can't remember anymore what his original sculpt was called, but I know he is a Souldoll and I purchased him almost five years ago from He came nude, so I got to experience spending more on an outfit for a doll than I would ever spend on myself. His clothes are from Dollzone.

Before he even came in, I ordered the one to his right. She's a Bobobi Charisma Demon and I freaking adore her. The price different between just these two dolls is in the $400 range (her being the cheap one) and I love her as much as Elijah. "Charisma" is a perfect name, as her face has a beautiful little smirk that wins you over. In the end, I named her Alannah and the outfit she's wearing was made by me from 's pattern. All of her painting and faceup is by me.

To her right is an Angel of Dream, Chen. His faceup is by me.

The guy in the middle in white is Alastair, and I know he's a Souldoll but again I can't remember his sculpt name. I know it has an "X" in it and that always throws me.

To his right is a Dollzone Mo and in his lap is a cheap 'lil Hujoo Berry I named Storm. I gave her a faceup and made her outfit.

And the last, on the far right, is one I held out for since I found out about these! He is a Dollzone Hong and now that I have him in my collection I'm going to relax on these for a few years. There's only one doll left that I truly want, and I've had a horrible time trying to find her since she slipped out of my fingers years ago.

In the meantime, my husband calls these our "Retirement Fund"
